The road to Super Bowl LX for the Kansas City Chiefs starts 7 p.m. Friday, Sept. 5, in São Paulo, and fans have been counting down to this day since the team lost Super Bowl LIX in February.
Just about every bar in the Kansas City metro will have the game on their televisions, either broadcasting it on YouTube or local channel KSHB (Channel 41).
If you’re looking to enjoy the game with other Chiefs fans, a few spots are hosting watch parties for the season opener with specials for guests in attendance.
Light District will show the game on its bigen., and The event willfeatures live entertainment from local DJs, contests and giveaways during game breaks, and food and drink specials at its many restaurants, like McFadden’s and Pizza Bar.
Tickets cost $20 at entry, and all guests will receive a free Coca-Cola drink when they arrive. Guests must be ages 21 and up to enter. The gates open at 5 p.m. Friday.
Fans can enjoy a pregame block party from 4 to 7 p.m. on Walnut Street, right by restaurant Country Road Ice House. More games, food and activities will be on site.
Craft Putt Craft Putt locations in Lee’s Summit (840 NW Blue Parkway) and Overland Park (11440 W. 135th St.) are hosting watch parties with the following specials available one hour before and after the game: 75 cent wings $5 nachos $5 Mahomes margaritas $3 domestic cans Mini golf will also be available for play before, during halftime and after the game.
Warehouse on Broadway Warehouse on Broadway, one of Kansas City’s newest music venues and restaurants, is inviting Chiefs fans to watch from inside its space, opening its doors at 6 p.m.
Specials fans can get at 3951 Broadway Blvd. include two-for-one burgers and $18 margarita pitchers. It’s first-come, first-served and open to all ages.
Warehouse on Broadway, a new live-music venue near Westport, debuted in March. It hosts a Chiefs watch party starting at 6 p.m. Friday.
Warehouse on Broadway Gaels Fans can walk into Gaels Public House & Sports, 5424 Troost Ave., Friday and enjoy $3 draft beers and a special pizza night during the Chiefs game, or they can secure their spot with a reservation.
The inside of the bar and the outdoor patio will be open for guests to watch the game.
DoubleTap KC The virtual arcade bar in the River Market is turning into a football game destination Friday.
