BREAKING: Patrick Mahomes Could Add $11 Million Wide Receiver Weapon Before Chiefs’ Playoff Run

Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs suffered their first loss of the 2024 NFL season on Sunday, falling to the rival Buffalo Bills in a 21-30 contest at Highmark Stadium.

Despite this loss, the reigning Super Bowl-champion Chiefs still have championship aspirations as the 2024 playoffs quickly approach. With less than half of the regular season remaining, the Chiefs are eyeing the potential addition of a new wide receiver weapon.

The Chiefs signed veteran wide receiver Marquise “Hollywood” Brown on a one-year contract worth up to $11 million before the start of the 2024 season.

Unfortunately, he dislocated his SC joint during Week 1 of the preseason.

Brown underwent shoulder surgery and was placed on the injured reserve for what was originally expected to be a season-ending injury. But last week, ESPN NFL insider Jeremy Fowler said the Chiefs are now looking at a potential return sometime late this season.

“The Chiefs haven’t totally ruled out a return for Hollywood Brown (shoulder) at some point. Kansas City coaches have been checking in with him, and the picture should become more clear over the next three to four weeks,” Fowler reported.

To combat this thin wide receiver corps, the team added veteran pass catcher DeAndre Hopkins before the trade deadline.

Mahomes also has superstar tight end Travis Kelce as an option in the passing game. Fresh off Sunday’s loss, Mahomes and the Chiefs will look to bounce back in a Week 12 matchup against the Carolina Panthers.
