Brittany Mahomes is widely known as the wife of NFL star Patrick Mahomes and mother of their two children. But not much is mentioned about her promising soccer career that was cut short.

Well before being a personal trainer and IG personality, Brittany Mahomes was a record-breaker at the women’s soccer program at the University of Texas at Tyler. In the last of her four seasons with the program, she set a single-season record with 18 goals.

Why Brittany Mahomes stopped playing soccer

Despite the excitement of all parties involved, Brittany Mahomes career failed to take off. The American forward played in 5 games with club UMF Afturelding, scoring two goals. Despite the successful season, in which she was able to win the championship trophy, her spell abroad came to an end (along with her soccer career).

Instead of giving the US’ NWSL a try, Brittany started to focus on a being an entrepreneur. She created Brittany Lynne Fitness, becoming a certified personal trainer and health advocate.
