The Kansas City Chiefs’ matchup against the Buffalo Bills is the game to watch in Week 11.
Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes and Co. enter the AFC showdown with a perfect 9-0 record while Buffalo is also on a hot streak after winning their past five consecutive matchups.
Bills quarterback Josh Allen can’t defeat the Chiefs in the playoffs, but he has a perfect 3-0 record against Kansas City in the regular season.
Buffalo also seems to have the edge with the game taking place at Highmark Stadium, as the Bills are 4-0 at home this season.
Adding further star power to the AFC showdown, CBS reported earlier this week that “the expectation” is for Taylor Swift, who’s dating Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce, to attend the matchup.
The pop star’s Eras concert tour finishes a three-night run at the Rogers Centre in Toronto on Nov. 16, a quick flight away from Buffalo.
However, according to sports analyst Adam Lekfoe, a close friend of the Kelce family, Swift may have no desire to return to Higmark Stadium after feeling the full wrath of Bills Mafia in January.
Adam Lefkoe says the Kelce-Swift family were SHOCKED by the reception they got from #BillsMafia during last season’s Divisional RD game. “It was not a great experience in Buffalo, for ALL parties involved.” @heykayadams@AdamLefkoe | #ChiefsKingdompic.twitter.com/xaie79frCB — Up & Adams (@UpAndAdamsShow) November 14, 2024 During a recent appearance on “Up and Adams,” Lekfoe told host Kay Adams that while it might’ve looked like Swift and the Kelce family had a fantastic time during the Chiefs’ 27-24 AFC divisional playoff win last season, it was anything but. ”
So, I have heard from people very close [to the Kelces] that it was not a great experience in Buffalo. For all parties involved,” Lefkoe said. “And I’m talking about the most famous of all the parties. I think that it kind of shocked the Kelce family and everyone related to the Kelce family the reception they got.” ”
I think they were kind of going in just thinking this is going to be an amazing game with good energy.
And they got there and they experienced Bills Mafia in full form and its complete ruthlessness and I think they left and said ‘I don’t know if I want to experience that again.'”
Adams, like many listeners, was bewildered by this report since Jason Kelce appeared to have the time of his life, ripping off his shirt in the freezing cold temperatures and chugging a beer.
During Buffalo’s game against the New York Jets on “Monday Night Football” last month, Jason not only joined Bills Mafia’s tailgate, but he also wore a Buffalo-inspired suit while offering commentary on “Monday Night Countdown.”
Lefkoe, however, was not reprimanding Bills Mafia. “I think there are certain fanbases that do their job which is when you are visitor in their place, it is their job to make you uncomfortable.
You don’t have be mean or hurt people, but make them go ‘I don’t want to go there anymore.'”
