Kansas City Chiefs ten-time Pro Bowl tight end Travis Kelce flirted with the idea of retirement early in the offseason.
However, after losing Super Bowl LIX to the Philadelphia Eagles, the future Pro Football Hall of Famer decided to lace up his cleats for at least one more year, hoping that he can end his career by riding off into the sunset with a fourth Super Bowl ring.
As a result of his newfound motivation, Kelce has spent a great deal of time this offseason getting into better shape and staying out of the public eye. While he still does his “New Heights” podcast with his brother, Jason Kelce, he has not been seen out nearly much this spring as he was last year around this time.
Of course, this has a great deal to do with the fact that his girlfriend, 14-time Grammy Award winner Taylor Swift, is no longer on tour. The couple is easily one of the most identifiable pairs in the world at the moment, and they are trying to keep a low profile after a year spent in constant limelight.
But their relative seclusion from the public has made many fans, especially of Swift, anxious for what is next for the couple.
“Millionaire Matchmaker” Host Says Kansas City Chiefs Star Travis Kelce Better Propose Soon
Kelce and Swift, of course, have been the subjects of many headlines and tabloid stories ever since their relationship became public knowledge in September of 2023. Now that they have been together for close to two years, many fans (and celebrities) are wondering when (or if) the couple will announce their engagement.
One of these is Patti Stanger, the host of the show “Millionaire Matchmaker.” During a recent appearance on the red carpet of The Materialists, Stanger said the Chiefs tight end better propose to Swift soon, or else.
“If Travis Kelce doesn’t give Taylor Swift a ring, I’m coming for you by July,” Stanger jokingly threatened via Parade. “I’m coming for you! Like what is that?
“And you don’t need a big ring and you can afford one buddy! Go, go, go! I’ll take you to the jewelry store!”
With the 2025 NFL season just around the corner, one would find it hard to believe that Kelce and Swift would make such a big life decision at this point. That being said, the Chiefs will have about a month off from team activities following mandatory mini camp this upcoming week.
Who knows if something will happen?
