NFL podcaster Cam Stewart has come under fire for a bizarre rant he made about the Kansas City Chiefs’ success this season, with one line in particular about Taylor Swift that’s particularly nasty.
Stewart, a Canadian-based on-air host, took an interest in the Chiefs as they will play the Buffalo Bills on Sunday in one of the biggest games of the season.
The Chiefs are the NFL’s lone remaining undefeated team, while the Bills are an impressive 8-2. Swift entered the conversation as the girlfriend of Kansas City star Travis Kelce.
At the end of his rant on ‘The Drew & Stew Podcast’, Stewart’s co-host, Drew Livingstone, mentions Swift could be in attendance at Highmark Stadium.
‘Oh who cares? Throw her in the (Niagara) Falls!’ Stewart said.
Swift’s attendance at the game has not been confirmed for the mega-AFC showdown. However, the ‘Anti-Hero’ singer will have performed shows on her ‘Eras Tour’ in Toronto the night before.
Making the short trip to Buffalo is not out of the question, as she does not continue shows in Canada until the following Thursday.
Swift was at Highmark Stadium the last time the Chiefs played in Buffalo during last season’s Divisional showdown. It was the same day where Travis’ brother, Jason Kelce jumped out of the luxury suite were Swift watched the game shirtless and chugged a beer.
It would be the first Chiefs road game Swift has attended this season, with a spot in a luxury suite for every home contest.
Stewart’s rant started off with his belief that Kansas City has skated by this season and the Bills will end its undefeated run.
‘I’m so sick and tired of the Chiefs smoke-and-mirror bulls**t job. They could have lost to the f***in’ Bucs. They got so lucky against Denver,’ Stewart said.
‘Honest to God, Kansas City fans, it’s not personal. If I meet a Kansas City fan, you could be the nicest guy in the world. I hate your team and I hate the way they’re getting benefits from the NFL.’
‘Buffalo, knock these f***ers around. I want (Patrick) on the deck.’
Livingstone then makes the comparison that the Tom Brady-led New England Patriots from 2007, who finished the regular season with a perfect record, would ‘mop the floor’ with the current Chiefs team.
‘The Patriots used to beat teams by 45. They don’t ask referees for help and block field goals to win games,’ Stewart continued. ‘The Patriots season was legendary. Sorry, Kansas City. You’re not even close.’
‘That’s like comparing (Pablo) Picasso with a kindergarten finger-painter.’
Stewart says he’s making a ‘spite bet’ in picking the Bills to defeat the Chiefs.
‘I love Buffalo. I love the people there. I love the food there,’ Stewart added. ‘I want something positive to happen for these people. Haven’t they been through enough?’
