Taylor Swift shared some huge and exciting news on Friday morning, announcing that she finally owns the masters to her first six albums. This means that the 35-year-old singer owns every single recording, music video, concert film and the art that comes with it.
“All of the music I’ve ever made…now belongs to me,” the singer wrote in a letter that’s published on her website. “Every single era. My entire life’s work.”
She regained ownership of her master recordings from Shamrock Capital, the private equity firm that bought them from Braun’s Ithaca Holdings in 2020. They reportedly sold them back to Swift for a price close to the $360 million they originally paid, according to Billboard.
In the announcement photos, Swift wore a baby blue half-sleeve sweater from Khatie, a pair of light denim blue straight jeans and a pair of white Puma sneakers. Her blonde hair was worn down and accessorized the look with simple gold jewelry and white nails.
In a recent article published by People, they found affordable pieces that look very similar to what Swift is wearing. Khatie, a luxury brand, sells tops that cost more than $1000, but a similar-looking top can be found on Amazon for just $20.
Filled with some heart eye and clapping emojis, fans went to the comment section of People’s official Instagram account to express how good Swift looks and their thoughts on People Magazine’s recreation of this simple outfit.
“🫶🏾,” American rapper Flavor Flav commented on Swift’s original post.
Another wrote in the comment section of People, “Very pretty.”
One made the observation that whatever Swift was wearing in the original announcement post, “It’s most likely an expensive brand.”
“It’s probably from a very expensive brand lol,” another said.
“I have those pumas,” one user commented. The shoes that the publication featured in the article are Puma’s Carina Street Women’s Sneaker in white.
“Cute and simple outfit,” one wrote.
