Cleveland Cavaliers guard Darius Garland singled out Tyler Herro as the Miami Heat’s weakest defender, revealing that their gameplan is to target him on that end of the floor.

The Cleveland Cavaliers took a commanding 2-0 lead in their first-round series against the Miami Heat with a 121-112 win at home in Game 2.

Darius Garland, who played a key role in the victory with 21 points and 9 assists, revealed part of the Cavs’ gameplan going into the series: targeting Miami’s weaker defenders—specifically calling out the Heat’s star guard.

“Pick on Tyler Herro, take care of the ball, and pick on their weak defenders. Go after them,” Garland said.

Despite his defensive struggles, Tyler Herro has been productive on offense, averaging 27.0 points, 4.5 rebounds, and 3.5 assists through the first two games. Still, the Heat will need even more from him, and others, if they hope to shift the momentum as the series moves to Miami.
