The Kansas City Chiefs are once again raising awareness of environmental protection this Earth Day and doing so in the best possible way.
The Chiefs pulled a hilarious video featuring the CEO of Sack Nation, star DT Chris Jones. This originally debuted in 2021, was pulled from the archives, and shared across all Chiefs’ social media platforms. The video is made in an old-timey PSA fashion, featuring a cut-up of Jones sacking quarterbacks and introducing them to the earth while he talks calmly and soothingly.
Check it out down below (click the right arrow to navigate to the video):
“Hello guys, Chris Jones here, CEO of Sack Nation. As a member of Sack Nation, it’s important to us to make sure that all of our opponents, especially the quarterback, is well acquainted to the ground. Not only do I love to bring the quarterback closer to the soil, but I’m also here to demonstrate support for environmental protection. Happy Earth Day. . . Also, I love the smell of new grass.”
The Wilhelm scream added a nice touch to the sack cut-up. Overall, just a tremendous job from the K.C. social team and a great reminder of Earth Day. This year’s theme for Earth Day is “Our Power, Our Planet.” The focus is on clean, renewable energy resources such as solar and wind power.
Another takeaway? Travis Kelce clearly isn’t the only current Chiefs player with some acting chops. Jones could have an acting career in the future. After all, Michael Bay is only a phone call away!
