Dolphins GM reveals what asking price would be in potential Tyreek Hill trade

Chiefs: 3 massive bold predictions for Tyreek Hill in 2020..Before he was catching passes as a member of the Miami Dolphins, Tyreek Hill was doing so with the Kansas City Chiefs and putting up big numbers. He was traded in the 2022 offseason to help the Chiefs add some draft capital and to allow Hill to earn the type of contract he was seeking.

Since that trade, the Chiefs haven’t missed a Super Bowl and have won two. Yes, the offense has floundered without Hill, but all in all, the trade ended up being a good move for K.C. Those draft picks turned into Trent McDuffie and Rashee Rice, among others.

While Hill has put up good numbers in Miami, he’s coming off his worst year with the team and was notably irritated with them when the season was officially in the books. The remarks he made once the season ended didn’t sound like someone who was happy in his current situation, and that led many to believe a trade could be on the horizon.

Dolphins GM Chris Grier has made it known that the team is not looking into sending Hill away but did recently note, “If someone wants to come and give me two first-round picks, we’ll consider it.”

Tyreek Hill would cost two first-rounders

It’s important to note that a homecoming is not in the works. There’s not a chance the Chiefs would do this.

First and foremost, they traded Hill away for a reason, and secondly, they’re not in a place to give up multiple first-round picks for a 31-year-old receiver. Yes, Hill has been impressive throughout his NFL career, but he’s coming off his worst season since 2019 when he missed multiple games (and he didn’t miss any in 2024, though it’s worth noting the Dolphins didn’t have Tua Tagovailoa for six games).

The Chiefs also don’t need to trade for a wide receiver when they’re set to have a pretty decent group in 2025. Xavier Worthy is entering Year 2 after a promising rookie season, Hollywood Brown is back (hopefully for a full year this time), Rashee Rice might miss time with a suspension but he showed promise before his injury in 2024), and the team could also use some draft picks to address the position as well.

Perhaps another team will serve up the assortment of draft assets Grier would need to make such a move, but it won’t be Brett Veach on the other side. Hill was great during his time with the Chiefs, but fans need to know that bringing him back to Kansas City, especially for multiple first-round picks, is not going to happen.
