During a time when many are asking celebrities to give endorsements and speak out politically, Mahomes is taking a different approach. He made it very clear where he stands heading into the 2024 presidential election, which was of course won by President Donald Trump.

Mahomes, who is from Texas, made it clear that he would not be making an endorsement. He doesn’t believe that someone of his stature should be doing that.
“I don’t want to pressure anyone to vote for a certain president,” Mahomes said, per Time magazine.
“I want people to use their voice, whoever they believe in. I want them to do the research.”
Meanwhile, Mahomes has spoken out in support of his right-leaning teammate, Harrison Butker. The Chiefs kicker went viral for his controversial speech at Benedictine College last summer. Butker spoke about how women are often lied to and told that being a mother is not always the most important thing, which he believes it is.
“I judge him by the character he shows every day and that’s a good person. … We’re not always going to agree. He said certain things I don’t agree with,” he said.

Mahomes’ family, meanwhile, has thrown their support behind President Trump. The President of the United States is a big fan of the Mahomes family.
President Trump told Clay Travis that he met the Mahomes family at Super Bowl 59 in New Orleans. The Chiefs fell to the Eagles, 40-22.
“I love those two women – they’re so great,” Trump told Travis. “And they’re so loyal. They’re so great. I met Patrick’s mother at the game, before the game started she came over.
“And Brittany, I’ve seen so much of Brittany, just being so loyal and beautiful. It’s really nice.”
Mahomes, meanwhile, hasn’t spoken out in support of President Trump, though the Kansas City Chiefs quarterback has made things pretty clear.
