Players have to have a little fun while making the media rounds during Super Bowl Opening Night.
Chiefs fans know that running back Isiah Pacheco likes to have fun. He is one of the most entertaining players on the team, on and off the field. When asked by the media if he felt any pressure to win Super Bowl LIX against the Philadelphia Eagles, Pacheco gave a clever tongue twister answer, captured by Fox Sports NFL.
“There’s really no pressure when you’re prepared,” Pacheco said. “Proper preparations prevents poor performance.”

That delivery by Pacheco was too smooth. He has become a pro at handling the media, which is helped by his outgoing personality. Make no mistake, however, he’ll be all business when he takes the field on Sunday. Pacheco is known for his unique hard running style in which he quickly shuffles his feet.
Pacheco knows nothing but winning Super Bowls, having won the big game in each of his first two seasons after being selected by Kansas City in the seventh round of the 2022 NFL Draft. With a win over Philadelphia, Pacheco will move to second all-time among RBs who have won the most championships, trailing only Pro Football Hall of Famers Franco Harris and Rocky Bleier, who each have four.
That is pretty insane to think about. Pacheco has carved out quite a career for himself after nearly going undrafted. He has amassed 2,075 rushing yards, 453 receiving yards, and 15 total touchdowns in 38 games played. Unfortunately, he has missed 11 games due to injuries during that span.
If Pacheco can stay healthy, he could be one of the most productive RBs in the NFL. He is currently playing second fiddle to Kareem Hunt as Hunt is more in rhythm with the offense right now. Pacheco has struggled a bit with consistency after an early season ankle injury cost him nine games. He’ll definitely get some work during the Super Bowl on Sunday, and hopefully can make a big impact coming off of two weeks rest.
