Taylor Swift is two singles deep into her latest album, The Tortured Poets Department. The singer may be preparing to announce a third cut that she’ll promote from the hugely successful full-length, or perhaps she has something else hiding up her sleeve.
While much of the focus when it comes to Swift and her music may be on The Tortured Poets Department and current single “I Can Do It With A Broken Heart,” Americans are still listening to everything she’s released, but especially her recent album 1989 (Taylor’s Version). One of the songs featured on that re-recording is still performing well, and even rising higher and higher on the charts.
“Style (Taylor’s Version)” is climbing in the U.S. at the moment, at least on one ranking. The song lifts from No. 30 to No. 26 on the Adult Contemporary chart, which ranks the most successful tunes at radio stations throughout the country that focus on that more mellow subgenre of pop.
No. 26 now stands as the high point for “Style (Taylor’s Version)” on the Adult Contemporary chart. The track reaches that new peak a year after it was first released.
“Style (Taylor’s Version)” first arrived in late October of 2023. The tune is featured on 1989 (Taylor’s Version), which dropped on October 27 of last year, and the set is celebrating a full year on a number of Billboard charts as of this frame.
Interestingly, “Style (Taylor’s Version)” was never pushed as a single from 1989 (Taylor’s Version). Swift only focused on the “From The Vault” tracks when promoting the re-recorded take on her pop masterpiece 1989. All the familiar tunes performed well on the charts, but they were never selected for all the trimmings that typically come with being a proper single.
“Style (Taylor’s Version)” has now spent eight weeks, on and off, on the Adult Contemporary chart. The title isn’t even the only 1989 (Taylor’s Version) album cut that’s reached the list, either, without a proper single promotion strategy. “Wildest Dreams (Taylor’s Version)” (No. 23) and “Bad Blood (Taylor’s Version)” (No. 24) have also spent time on the tally, racking up months between them.
