Celtics injury report: 2 players removed for Monday's game vs. Warriors - masslive.com

The Celtics will be back at full strength on Monday afternoon when they face off against the Warriors at Chase Center. The team removed Kristaps Porzingis (injury recovery management) and Al Horford (toe sprain) from the injury report for Monday’s contest after both players missed Saturday’s loss to the Hawks.

Jayson Tatum was also removed from the injury report entirely after he was listed as questionable for the same contest. He suited up but struggled against Atlanta, shooting just 7-of-21 from the field in the overtime defeat.

Boston will be looking to start their four-game road swing on a high note in San Francisco but it won’t come easy amid a brutal five games in seven nights stretch. The Celtics spent their off day after a back-to-back flying across the country ahead of the 2022 NBA Finals rematch.

Tatum, Jaylen Brown and Jayson Tatum all played 43 minutes on Saturday night so the team could see some tired legs against Golden State. The return of Horford and Porzingis to the lineup will be a welcome sight though particularly after a strong performance by Boston at full strength on Friday night against the Magic.

On the other side, the Warriors will be shorthanded amid a two-game winning streak. Draymond Green (calf sprain), Jonathan Kuminga (ankle sprain), Kyle Anderson (glut bursitis) and Brandin Podziemski (abdominal injury) have also been ruled out for the matchup. Stephen Curry is also listed as questionable after sprained his left ankle in Saturday’s win over the Wizards.

The Celtics will be looking to avenge 118-112 loss to the Warriors at TD Garden back in November in the matchup. Boston  has lost their last two regular season games at the Chase Center including a 132-126 overtime loss last year.

The Celtics will look to build some consistency amid their toughest road trip of the year after dropping three of their last five games.

The Celtics and Warriors will tip off at 5 p.m. ET in a nationally televised contest on TNT.
