Breaking: Dodgers Could Still Trade For $50 Million Star After Signing Hye-Seong Kim

The Los Angeles Dodgers have put together one of the most active offseasons around the league.

They’ve brought in talent like Teoscar Hernández, Hye-Seong Kim, and Blake Snell, but they could continue to make moves across their entire roster.

The Dodgers will likely look for a high-leverage closer, with Tanner Scott being the dream free-agent target.

After that, they could grab another bullpen arm or two to pair with him. Besides that, the only other place the Dodgers may want to add talent is in the outfield, and even that could be a reach. The fact of the matter is the Dodgers don’t need to add any more talent.

They’re the best team in the league and the front office has built a roster with no real flaws. But that doesn’t mean Los Angeles won’t add more talent out of luxury.

The Dodgers were closely connected to trade candidate Luis Robert Jr. of the Chicago White Sox for quite a while.

After the Dodgers re-signed Tommy Edman and signed Teoscar Hernández, it seemed as though they were out on Robert. After signing Kim, they may be done adding position players.

But the Dodgers could still look to swing a blockbuster trade for the $50 million star outfielder.

A lot of people would ask the question: Why? But as with a lot of the Dodgers moves, the real question is: Why not? At his best, Robert can post an OPS close to .900 with 38 home runs.

He’s excellent with his glove and on the bases. The righty could be a true star if he’s placed in a lineup with a little bit of protection.

Is it the most likely move? No, not really. But the Dodgers are never out of these trade sweepstakes’.
