Los Angeles Dodgers star Shohei Ohtani is one of the most popular athletes in the world. Winning the World Series in Los Angeles after signing 10-year, $700 million contract with the franchise, Ohtani had a historic first season with the Dodgers.

Inventing the 50/50 club this season, Ohtani became the first player in MLB history with 50 home runs and 50 stolen bases in the same season.

While he did not pitch last season as he recovered from UCL surgery, Ohtani owns a career 3.01 ERA on the mound.

Athletic ability is at a high-level in the Ohtani home, as the three-time MVP is married to former professional basketball player Mamiko Tanaka.

“Need Mamiko to suit up,” a fan wrote. “sho & mamiko @ the lakers game,” a fan captioned a picture of the couple at their seats.

“Shohei Ohtani and his wife, Mamiko, are in attendance watching the Lakers play the Blazers tonight,” Dodgers Nation wrote on X. “Mamiko ,” a fan wrote, sharing a video of Ohtani and his wife from the Lakers broadcast.

Enjoying his offseason, the two-way star is taking in some NBA action alongside his wife.

Not often seen publicly, Tanaka’s appearance alongside Ohtani on Sunday generated a lot of buzz on social media.
