“Hard for anybody to try to get a rhythm” – Steph Curry advocates for more streamlined Warriors rotation after 4-game losing streak

Steph Curry is calling for a more streamlined rotation for the Golden State Warriors after the team’s fourth consecutive loss. The star made this known following Saturday’s 113-105 defeat to the Phoenix Suns.

Curry hinted that the team’s deep rotation introduced by Steve Kerr may be hindering their performance. Despite his impressive individual play, the Dubs have struggled to find consistency during their current losing streak.

“It is hard for anybody to try to get a rhythm… that’s tough,” he said. “We are a unique team; it’s a unique situation. I don’t think it’s ever been done in the league. But it’s an 82-game schedule. You got to figure out what adjustments you need to make.”

This season, the Warriors have employed an unusually deep rotation, with 12 or 13 players playing in a single game. With the number of games in the season, the Warriors’ plans to conserve energy and prevent injuries seem to have gotten a rebuke from Steph Curry.

His playing time has been capped in the Warriors’ recent four-game skid, with none exceeding 33 minutes. Yet, the four-time NBA champion has maintained his elite form, boasting impressive individual stats.

He is averaging 22.5 points, 5.5 rebounds and 6.3 assists per game, with 46.7% shooting overall and 43.4% from 3-point range. But with the Warriors needing wins to make a playoff push, individual stats are secondary.

What’s next for Steph Curry and the Golden State Warriors?

The Warriors, led by Steph Curry, began the season strongly, including a five-game winning streak from Oct. 30 to Nov. 7. However, they’ve since struggled, with their last win coming against the New Orleans Pelicans on November 22.

The Warriors face a tough stretch, starting with the Denver Nuggets on Dec. 3, who have beaten them in their last seven meetings. They’ll then face the Houston Rockets on Dec. 5 and back-to-back games against the Minnesota Timberwolves on Dec. 6 and 8.

The Warriors sit fourth in the Western Conference with a 12-7 record. To sustain their momentum, they need to boost their home record (5-3) and strike a balance between load management and fielding their best lineup nightly.
