Taylor Swift penned a heartfelt message to fans in Toronto after wrapping her Eras Tour stop in the city.
The pop star was in Toronto for six shows from Nov. 14-16 and Nov. 21-23.
On Tuesday, Swift posted on Instagram saying her shows in the city “were incredible.”
“It was awesome to play in Canada after so much time. As always, the fans in Toronto treated us like it was a hometown show. Couldn’t have asked for more love or generosity from the people who came out,” she said in the post, accompanied by a slideshow of photos from the shows.
Swift gave a special shoutout to singer-songwriter Gracie Abrams who has been opening for the star throughout her tour.
“I got to play a mashup of the *Grammy nominated* song ‘us’ with @gracieabrams, mashed up with ‘Out of the Woods’ and I just adore her. She’s been giving the most amazing performances every night on this tour!!,” Swift wrote.
Swift also shared that emotions are getting “heightened” for her and her crew as they wind down the tour, with their last stop coming up in Vancouver.
“Our next city will be the last one of The Eras Tour, and the closing of the most extraordinary chapter of my life so far. See you 🔜 , Vancouver. We can’t wait to give you all we’ve got for three more shows.”
Swift is performing in Vancouver from Dec. 6-8 at BC Place.
Swifties have been returning the love right back to her. As of Tuesday afternoon, Swift’s Instagram post received more than three million likes, only four hours after the star posted her message. Toronto fans have also been reminiscing about the tour online and thanking the star for the over three hour concerts.
For the pop star’s big arrival, Toronto transformed into “Tayronto” with plenty of Eras Tour-themed activities and events, friendship bracelets galore, and the city even temporarily renamed Blue Jays Way to Taylor Swift Way for the month of November.
Destination Toronto anticipated that Swift’s tour stop in the city generated more than $282 million in economic impact and over $152 million in direct spending.
