The Juan Soto sweepstakes are heating up and the Dodgers are reportedly among 5 teams that have extended an offer to him 👀

The Los Angeles Dodgers have reportedly made a contract offer to superstar outfielder Juan Soto, according to Randy Miller of NJ.com. MLB Network’s Jon Morosi confirmed that report on Monday night.

Soto reportedly has offers from five teams, including the Dodgers. The Boston Red Sox, New York Mets, New York Yankees, and Toronto Blue Jays have also made offers to Soto.

According to Miller, all five teams presented contract offers to Soto and his agent Scott Boras during their meetings last week. Miller also reports that Soto is “believed to be seeking a 15-year deal worth more than $700 million.”

These are the five teams who were reported to have met with Soto last week in Southern California. While the Dodgers’ interest in Soto was not fully known, the fact that they have an offer on the table to him means they’re serious about their pursuit of the generational talent.

The Dodgers have a clear need in the outfield with Mookie Betts moving to the infield and Teoscar Hernández currently a free agent. While the Dodgers could bring back Hernández, Soto is one of the greatest free agents in MLB history considering his age and skill set. The Dodgers, fresh off a $1.4 billion offseason and World Series victory, are clearly serious about bringing Soto to Los Angeles.

The numbers of the five offers have not been reported, but more information should be revealed in the coming days. Those details will provide an even greater sense into the Dodgers’ interest in Soto. However, it’s clear they’re serious about potentially adding the superstar outfielder this offseason, and the Dodgers proved last winter that money is not an issue.
