Patrick Mahomes received positive attention for the job his foundation had done, as his new restaurant with Travis Kelce garnered its first reviews.
On Wednesday, Brittany Mahomes and Patrick Mahomes’ foundation, the 15 and the Mahomies Foundation, posted a video to social media announcing another successful gala. The foundation is dedicated to “improving the lives of children,” focusing on initiatives that “focus on health, wellness, communities in need of resources and other charitable causes.”
The foundation first came to life in 2019 and was celebrating its sixth gala, which came after Patrick Mahomes pulled off a trick play to perfection in the Kansas City Chiefs’ most recent game.

Thank you to all of our amazing partners who continue to support the mission. Together, we are changing lives. See you all next year!”
Fans on social media applauded Patrick Mahomes and Brittany Mahomes for their work helping the community and those most in need in said communities. “Thank you, Pat Mahomes and your Foundation, for raising money to help the youth!” a fan wrote with a heart-eyes emoji.
Another fan added: “What a wonderful organization you have patrick mahomes and the good you do for all the children of the world thank you God bless you.”
A third posted a comment lauding the Mahomeses’ willingness to put their money back into the community and the positive impact that money can make for those who needed it the most.
“Love you two doing stuff like this: to have the means to make differences like this. I know we all make a difference with our individual experiences, but you are in a unique position and you make use of it! Thank you!” the fourth fan wrote on Instagram.
The outpouring of support for Patrick Mahomes and the foundation comes after reviews of the signal caller and Travis Kelce’s new restaurant began streaming in. Though the reviews for 1587 Prime have generally been positive, one item on the menu has been criticized by reviewers.

Many fans generally were pleased with the offerings at the Chiefs stars’ restaurant, a $24 twice-baked potato has many reviewers pondering the price and whether it is worth the price on the menu.
“We ordered the twice-baked potato—since things in a box on the menu are a signature item, and this was in a box, I was excited,” one review on Google read. “Probably one of the most disappointing baked potatoes I’ve ever had.”
Another user had a more neutral review on the food – including the aforementioned baked potato – as a whole. “Food 7/10 and being gracious. Steak was not flavorful, but tender. Twice baked potato was overseasoned and looked gray,” the review began.
“Fried chicken appetizer was overcooked, mashed potatoes were really whipped potatoes… like fake mashed potatoes, but had good flavor. The wedge salad was AWESOME.”
