Tottenham will aim to extend their unbeaten run in this season’s Champions League when they visit Monaco at the Stade Louis II on Wednesday night.

Tottenham, meanwhile, have suffered just one defeat in their last eight outings in league and cup competitions and remain unbeaten in the Champions League this season. However, they were held to a 2-2 draw in their first European away game against Bodo/Glimt, and Thomas Frank’s side have drawn three of their last six matches. Spurs’ recent fixtures have also been action-packed, with over 2.5 goals scored in five of their last six games, and both teams scoring in five of those as well.

Domestically, Tottenham suffered their second Premier League defeat of the season on Sunday, losing 2-1 at home to Aston Villa despite taking an early lead.

Monaco, meanwhile, endured a disastrous start to their Champions League campaign, suffering a heavy 4-1 defeat away to Club Brugge on Matchday 1. They showed significant improvement in their next European outing, holding reigning champions Manchester City to a 2-2 draw at home. However, a subsequent 2-2 draw with rivals Nice in Ligue 1 led to the dismissal of manager Adi Hutter. Sebastien Pocognoli has since taken over as head coach, but his first match in charge ended in another draw, this time away at Angers on Saturday.

In their previous four meetings, Monaco have lost to Tottenham only once, and that defeat came away from the Stade Louis II. Given both teams’ recent form and tendency for high-scoring draws, we’re predicting Wednesday’s Champions League clash to finish 2-2.

The ugly underbelly of football fandom has once again been exposed, and this time it centres on Kevin Danso. What should have been a routine post-match discussion following Tottenham Hotspur’s recent Premier League fixture against Brighton & Hove Albion quickly escalated into something far more disturbing. Instead of debate over tactics, performance, or results, the narrative was hijacked by vile, racially charged abuse directed at Danso across social media platforms.
