MLB: The Four ‘Big Fish’ That the Yankees Are Considering Signing If They Miss Out on Juan Soto

The Yankees have put together an interesting Plan B in case they fail to sign Juan Soto, considered a superstar in MLB and currently the best player available in free agency.

According to journalist Bob Klapisch of NJ.com, the New York Yankees are preparing to make offers for four “big fish” in free agency if they don’t manage to sign Juan Soto.

According to the report, the Yankees are considering pursuing free agents: Corbin Burnes (SP), Alex Bregman (3B), Anthony Santander (OF), and Christian Walker (1B).

Perhaps it would be more beneficial for the Yankees to sign these four reinforcements rather than just acquire Juan Soto, as this would strengthen other areas that urgently need improvement to compete in the coming years.

While Soto would be a perfect fit with the Yankees this year, acquiring reinforcements across the board could be more beneficial for a team looking to end a 15-year drought without lifting the championship trophy.

Juan Soto is on track to receive a contract that will likely exceed $600 million. For now, the Mets, Yankees, Red Sox, Dodgers, and Blue Jays are serious contenders.
