The Los Angeles Lakers are reportedly showing interest in a forward from the Miami Heat to bolster their wing depth.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

The\u00a0Los Angeles Lakers<\/a>\u00a0are looking to bounce back after their disappointing first-round playoff exit last season as they try to chase a championship this season.<\/p>\n

Of course, the Lakers finished third in the Western Conference standings last season after pulling off the blockbuster trade with the\u00a0Dallas Mavericks<\/a>\u00a0for\u00a0Luka Doncic<\/a>\u00a0at the trade deadline.<\/p>\n

Despite the pairing of Doncic and\u00a0LeBron James<\/a>, Los Angeles fell in the first round of the playoffs to the\u00a0Minnesota Timberwolves<\/a>\u00a0in five games.<\/p>\n

Because of this, Los Angeles decided to make some moves this offseason to bolster their roster around their star duo as they signed Deandre Ayton, Marcus Smart and Jake LaRavia in free agency.<\/p>\n

With these moves, the Lakers are looking to make a run at a championship this season, though they could elect to make more moves ahead of the trade deadline.<\/p>\n

Lakers Showing Interest in Heat\u2019s Andrew Wiggins<\/h2>\n

One player who has recently been linked to the Lakers is\u00a0Miami Heat<\/a>\u00a0forward and former\u00a0Golden State Warriors<\/a>\u00a0champion Andrew Wiggins.<\/p>\n

Wiggins has been in trade rumors for most of the offseason and\u00a0NBA<\/a>\u00a0insider Marc Stein recently reported that the Lakers are showing interest in him to upgrade their forward depth.<\/p>\n

\u201cI wouldn\u2019t have classified him as a potential purple-and-gold target before Doncic\u2019s long-term future was secured, but things are different now,\u201d Stein wrote about Wiggins. \u201cSo my sense is that the Lakers would have interest if the Heat, in coming weeks or months, decide to prioritize financial flexibility and look to reduce payroll.\u201d<\/p>\n
