Hollywood star\u00a0Adam Sandler<\/a>\u00a0is famous for his performances in comedy movies. But the star has also showcased a natural athletic ability that has been depicted in several of his most successful films.\u00a0From football to golf, Sandler is adept at numerous sports, but his skills as a basketball player have been particularly noteworthy.<\/p>\n Videos of Sandler playing\u00a0pickup basketball have gone viral on multiple occasions<\/a>, even garnering the attention of NBA legends like\u00a0Shaquille O’Neal<\/a>, who acknowledged the actor’s skills.<\/p>\n In a recent video, Sandler was seen playing a game with some players from the\u00a0Miami Heat<\/a>\u00a0squad at a Heat practice facility, and some of his plays were truly highlight-worthy.<\/p>\n Paired with Heat forward\u00a0Jaime Jaquez Jr.<\/a>, Sandler showcased tremendous court vision and passing ability, albeit against a very relaxed defense. Regardless, his skills caught the eye of NBA fans on social media, who were in awe of the actor’s ability.<\/p>\n “I’d play him over Terry,”\u00a0<\/em>stated<\/a>\u00a0one fan, taking a shot at Heat guard\u00a0Terry Rozier<\/a>.<\/p>\n “We found our Terry replacement,”\u00a0<\/em>chimed<\/a>\u00a0another.<\/p>\n “New White Chocolate. Fit goes hard too,”\u00a0<\/em>complimented<\/a>\u00a0another, while comparing Sandler to NBA legend\u00a0Jason Williams<\/a>.<\/p>\n “Give him a 10-day just for those passes,”\u00a0<\/em>suggested<\/a>\u00a0another.<\/p>\n “Looking like Luka with those passes,”\u00a0<\/em>said<\/a>\u00a0one user, making comparisons to\u00a0Los Angeles Lakers<\/a>\u00a0star\u00a0Luka Doncic<\/a>.<\/p>\n “Step aside, Tyler Herro,”\u00a0<\/em>joked<\/a>\u00a0another.<\/p>\n “We found our starting PG, move over Herro,”\u00a0<\/em>supported<\/a>\u00a0another fan.<\/p>\n “Yeah…we do need a point guard…”\u00a0<\/em>stated another fan, seemingly dissatisfied with Miami’s current roster.<\/p>\n One user made an accurate assessment of Sandler’s appearance and his skills and\u00a0added<\/a>,\u00a0“He’s one of those dudes at the YMCA that casually goes and drops 20 and 8 and drives home in his Corolla.”<\/em><\/p>\n “I’m here for Adam Sandler to fix the Heat,”\u00a0<\/em>added<\/a>\u00a0another fan, hoping for some additions to the roster.<\/p>\n The reactions from the fans feature a blend of awe and a general concern for the Heat’s backcourt rotation heading into the 2025-26 campaign.<\/p>\n Miami has aimed to improve its wing and backcourt depth this summer. With the addition of\u00a0Norman Powell<\/a>\u00a0and the re-signing of Davion Mitchell and Dru Smith, the Heat have built solid depth in their overall backcourt. But some concerns remain.<\/p>\n While\u00a0Tyler Herro<\/a>\u00a0has shown\u00a0significant growth as a franchise player<\/a>\u00a0over the last season, playmaking isn’t his greatest asset, although he is capable of it. A similar situation arose with Rozier, who has since\u00a0become dispensable<\/a>\u00a0due to his limitations as a facilitator.<\/p>\n The Heat may need to address their shortcomings in the point guard slot at some point in the season, but there is a likelihood that they may only do so later in the campaign.\u00a0Having drafted a\u00a0gifted young point guard in Kasparas Jakucionis<\/a>, Miami may provide its rookie with some opportunities in the rotation to establish a firm footing.<\/p>\n Given the availability of youth talent on this team, the Heat may benefit from cultivating this talent over time rather than making sudden changes to form a title-contending squad.
