Since coming to the Chicago Bulls from the Oklahoma City Thunder, Josh Giddey has been a huge help and seems like he could be a long-term part of the team\u2019s future.<\/p>\n

But Giddey knows he\u2019s worth a lot, and wants to be paid accordingly.<\/p>\n

According to Bobby Marks, the Bulls have now increased their previous offer to Giddey and are willing to give him a four-year, $88 million deal.<\/p>\n

However, Giddey wants something closer to $30 million a year, so the two sides aren\u2019t seeing eye-to-eye, at least not yet.<\/p>\n

The Bulls are softening their stance, but they still aren\u2019t where Giddey wants them to be.<\/p>\n

However, he doesn\u2019t have many options because there aren\u2019t other teams in the league who currently have the cap space to sign him.<\/p>\n

Giddey believes that he could continue to be Chicago\u2019s best player and feels his first season with them was just the beginning.<\/p>\n

He averaged 14.6 points, 8.1 rebounds, and 7.2 assists on 46.5 percent from the field during his opening year with the Bulls.<\/p>\n

He wants to do even more in the years ahead and hopes for a long-term commitment that will pay him what he feels he deserves.<\/p>\n

However, the Bulls have to consider their other salaries and the plans they have.<\/p>\n

They cannot blow all their spending cash on Giddey because it would leave them with very few options for other stars.<\/p>\n

Giddey is actually lucky that the Bulls are offering him more than they were.<\/p>\n

That is a sign of how much they value him and how much they hope he sticks around.<\/p>\n

But they might not be able to budge anymore, and Giddey has to consider that.<\/p>\n

To make an extension happen, both sides may need to compromise.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/article>\n
