The current Brown wearing No. 7 took part in the dunk contest last year and electrifies the game just as his predecessor once did.<\/p>\n<p>There\u2019s a clear respect between the Celtics of the past and present that share that number and a last name.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI\u2019ve known Jaylen since he was in high school being in Georgia,\u201d Dee Brown said before \u201cThe Tradition\u201d at TD Garden on Wednesday night. \u201cIt\u2019s funny seeing Brown No. 7 running around. I know it\u2019s not mine, but I\u2019m like, \u2018Hey, that\u2019s my jersey.\u2019 He\u2019s a great guy and so is Jayson (Tatum).\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Dee Brown believes the player that took home Eastern Conference Finals MVP and NBA Finals MVP is on his way to a legendary career, one that could end with the Celtics retiring his number among the all-time greats that have shaped basketball in Boston.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI\u2019m going to tell everybody it\u2019s me,\u201d Brown joked. \u201cWhen I talk to Jaylen, I\u2019ll say, \u2018We\u2019re going up there together, buddy.\u2019 He\u2019s going to eventually go up there.
