After being eliminated in the second round of the playoffs last season, the\u00a0Golden State Warriors<\/a>\u00a0entered the\u00a0NBA<\/a>\u00a0offseason looking to upgrade their roster to chase a championship this season.<\/p>\n

Of course, the Warriors looked like a title contender after acquiring\u00a0Jimmy Butler<\/a>\u00a0at the trade deadline last season but after upsetting the\u00a0Houston Rockets<\/a>\u00a0in the first round, an untimely injury to\u00a0Stephen Curry<\/a>\u00a0ultimately led to them being eliminated by the\u00a0Minnesota Timberwolves<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Because of this, Golden State entered the offseason looking for ways to bolster their rotation around their star trio but that has not been the case thus far as they continue to await a decision by restricted free agent\u00a0Jonathan Kuminga<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Despite this, it has been reported that the Warriors do have deals in place with multiple free agents that are expected to be finalized once Kuminga\u2019s situation is resolved.<\/p>\n

Warriors predicted to acquire Cavaliers\u2019 Jaylon Tyson<\/h2>\n

While that may be the case, Golden State could also look at other ways to upgrade their roster this offseason and\u00a0Bleacher Report\u2019s Zach Buckley<\/a>\u00a0recently released a mock trade that has the Warriors landing a young two-way wing from the\u00a0Cleveland Cavaliers<\/a>.<\/p>\n

In the trade, the Warriors would send Trayce Jackson-Davis and a lottery-protected 2026 first-round pick to the Cavaliers in exchange for Jaylon Tyson.<\/p>\n

This would be an interesting trade for Golden State to make, especially since they would be giving up one of the few centers on their roster, though it could work out for them if they do end up landing Al Horford in free agency.<\/p>\n

For Tyson, he was the 20th overall pick by the Cavaliers in the 2024 draft, though he did not see a ton of playing time last season as he averaged only 9.6 minutes per game over 47 contests.<\/p>\n

In those 47 games, the 22-year-old guard averaged 3.6 points, 2.0 rebounds and 0.9 assists per game while shooting 43.0% from the field and 34.5% from three.<\/p>\n

Tyson is a solid scorer and defender who would be a major upgrade to the Warriors\u2019 backcourt depth and he would also likely receive more minutes in Golden State this season than he would in Cleveland.<\/p>\n

Despite this, the Warriors may hold off on making this trade since they would have to move one of the few big men on their roster and Cavaliers may also hold off as they could view Tyson as a key player for their future due to his age.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
