\"GoldenThe\u00a0Golden State Warriors<\/a>\u00a0are set to enter the 2025-26\u00a0NBA<\/a>\u00a0season as a potential threat to challenge for a championship in the Western Conference.<\/p>\n

Of course, the Warriors struggled at the beginning of last season but that changed at the trade deadline when they acquired\u00a0Jimmy Butler<\/a>\u00a0from the\u00a0Miami Heat<\/a>\u00a0to pair alongside\u00a0Stephen Curry<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0Draymond Green<\/a>.<\/p>\n

After landing Butler, Golden State went on a scorching hot run to cap off the regular season and looked as though they were a title contender.<\/p>\n

Their success continued in the first round as they upset the No. 2 seed\u00a0Houston Rockets<\/a>\u00a0in seven games, though their season would come to an end in the second round at the hands of the\u00a0Minnesota Timberwolves<\/a>\u00a0after Curry suffered a hamstring injury in Game 1.<\/p>\n

While the Warriors were unable to advance out of the second round last season, injuries played a large role in their playoff defeat and they will look to make another push for a championship this season.<\/p>\n

Despite this, Golden State has failed to make any moves in free agency this offseason as they continue to await a decision by restricted free agent\u00a0Jonathan Kuminga<\/a>\u00a0and they have also been questioned as a legitimate title contender due to their star trio all being over 35 years old.<\/p>\n

Curry shares thoughts on Warriors\u2019 title chances despite aging core<\/h2>\n

While that may be an issue for the Warriors, Curry recently gave his thoughts on the Warriors\u2019 championship chance and it is clear that he is not worried about their aging core.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe\u2019re gonna find out. I think we can. I like the identity that we have\u2026 Obviously, we have to stay healthy\u2026 That\u2019s the beautiful challenge of this game,\u201d Curry said about the Warriors\u2019 title chances with their aging core.<\/p>\n

\n

It is clear that Curry is not concerned with the Warriors\u2019 aging core as long as they can stay healthy, which was an issue for them at the end of last season.<\/p>\n

\n

Of course, the Warriors\u2019 trio made the franchise look like a title contender at the end of last season before Curry went down in the second round with an injury, basically ending their championship hopes.<\/p>\n

They could once again look like a title contender this season with Curry, Butler and Green still playing at a high level but it will all ultimately depend on if they can stay healthy.<\/p>\n

Golden State also has some key areas to address in free agency this offseason that they are hopeful they will be able to take care of after Kuminga\u2019s situation is resolved and if they are able to do so, they may be a threat in the West once again.<\/p>\n
