The K-pop star revealed that, ahead of inking a deal with Atlantic Records for her solo career, she had reached out to Taylor Swift for advice.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI told her I\u2019m such a huge fan and I just had some questions. As soon as she met me, she\u2019s like \u2018Spill, let me help you out,\u2019\u201d said Ros\u00e9, who shared that they met at an impromptu social hangout hosted by producer and long-time Swift collaborator Jack Antonoff.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cShe gave me her number and she\u2019s like, \u2018Let me know if you have any questions.\u2019 Who does that? Like, you\u2019re Taylor Swift!\u201d the BLACKPINK star recalled.<\/p>\n<p>The K-pop singer added that she was especially grateful for Swift\u2019s advice because \u201cI was at a moment where I was drowning a little\u201d. Ros\u00e9 explained that the American singer offered her guidance on the logistics of establishing her solo career.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cShe was trying to protect me. Me becoming solo, being independent, it\u2019s not an easy thing,\u201d she continued. \u201cThere are a lot of things I should be careful with, and she gave me a rundown on all the things I have to look out for. That was the coolest part \u2013 she\u2019s killed it in the game, and she was kind enough to walk me through.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Elsewhere during the interview, she also discussed her upcoming single \u2018Number One Girl\u2019, which she announced earlier today, saying that it\u2019s a track she wrote about her struggles being in the spotlight. \u2018Number One Girl\u2019 arrives on November 22 at Midnight EST.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI couldn\u2019t sleep because I was so obsessed with what these people were gonna say about me and what I wanted them to say about me,\u201d she told<em> i-D<\/em> of the song. \u201cI was so disgusted at myself for it \u2013 I never wanted to admit it to anyone, I didn\u2019t even want to admit it to myself.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Ros\u00e9\u2019s debut studio album \u2018rosie\u2019 is due out on December 6.
