Skip, 73, who formerly appeared on ESPN\u2019s\u00a0First Take\u00a0and FS1\u2019s\u00a0Undisputed, discussed the pop star with his wife,\u00a0Ernestine Sclafani Bayless, on the Monday, December 2, episode of his podcast,\u00a0\u201cThe Skip Bayless Show.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cI know I\u2019m un-American, but I am not a Taylor Swift fan,\u201d Ernestine, 62, said bluntly. Skip quickly agreed, saying, \u201cI don\u2019t get her.\u201d<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n

Ernestine, who married Skip in 2016 after dating the sports commentator 10 years, continued, \u201cShe seems like she\u2019s a nice person and she does wonderful things for kids and they all love her and idolize her.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

When it comes to the tunes blasting through their home, however, Ernestine isn\u2019t throwing on\u00a0The Tortured Poets Department<\/i>.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019d rather listen to\u00a0Bonnie Raitt<\/strong>,\u201d she said. In fact, Ernestine argued Swift, 34, partially has Raitt, 75, to thank for crafting her sound.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cThat\u2019s part of where her music came from,\u201d Ernestine said. \u201cIt\u2019s very similar.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

Ultimately, Skip boiled the entire conversation down to a question of \u201chot or not hot?\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cTaylor Swift to me? Not hot,\u201d Skip said, before adding, \u201cBut that\u2019s just me. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.\u201d<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n

Ernestine called Swift \u201ca cute girl,\u201d but that\u2019s about as far as the compliments extended. \u201cI know people like her,\u201d Ernestine said, \u201cbut she\u2019s not on my turntable.\u201d<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n

Skip cohosted ESPN\u2019s sports debate show\u00a0First Take<\/i>\u00a0alongside\u00a0Stephen A.
