Morgan Rogers has already signalled his intentions following reported interest from Tottenham.<\/p>\n
The Aston Villa midfielder is the latest player linked with a move to Spurs after the club missed out on Eberechi Eze, whose transfer to Arsenal was completed for \u00a368 million.<\/p>\n
On Thursday, The Independent reported that Tottenham had approached intermediaries regarding Rogers, who is expected to command a higher fee than Eze. The report adds that Villa are reluctant to sell the 23-year-old, but a bid could sway their stance amid concerns over profit and sustainability rules.<\/p>\n
After being named as the new PFA young player of the year this week, Rogers admitted being happy at Villa. “Nobody could have written what happened to me in the last 12 months,” he told The Times.<\/p>\n
“I\u2019m happy here. I love football. I love nothing more than just coming out on the pitch and playing football and that\u2019s what I\u2019m doing.<\/p>\n
“I don\u2019t think about anything else. I can\u2019t predict the next 12 months or anything in the future. It\u2019s just about playing football, enjoying my football and showing everyone what I can do.”<\/p>\n
