The Kansas City Chiefs had to patch their backfield together last season due to Isiah Pacheco\u2019s broken leg that limited him to just seven games, and in his absence, guys like Kareem Hunt and Carson Steele had to step up to shoulder some of the workload left behind.<\/p>\n

Pacheco is healthy and ready to roll heading into the 2025 season, but the RB room as a whole still has question marks with an aging Hunt now nursing a quad contusion, and third-stringer Elijah Mitchell has missed 41 games in four years, including all of last season due to a hamstring injury.<\/p>\n

The questionable depth led insider Matt Miller to throw out the idea of Kansas City bringing in someone like Brian Robinson Jr. or Jaylen Wright to help give Pacheco more protection.<\/p>\n

The Washington Commanders have been strangely adamant about moving Robinson over the past week or so, and it\u2019s looking like an inevitability at this point.<\/p>\n

Robinson has posted at least 700 rushing yards in each of his three seasons in the league, while his yards per carry and rushing touchdown output have gone up each year.<\/p>\n

He\u2019d be a huge addition to this offense and be an ideal complement to Pacheco as more of a power back to complement Pacheco\u2019s shiftiness and explosiveness.<\/p>\n

Wright is a high-upside talent that the Miami Dolphins likely see as an ideal complement to De\u2019Von Achane, but he didn\u2019t show much explosiveness in his rookie year last season and is now dealing with a minor injury after leaving practice today while also fending off rookie Ollie Gordon II.<\/p>\n

Pacheco is capable of handling the bulk of the workload, but it wouldn\u2019t be surprising to see KC go out and bring in some more help.<\/p>\n
