According to CBS Sports:<\/p>\n

Head coach Andy Reid relayed Monday that\u00a0Mahomes\u00a0and other starters are expected to play in Friday\u2019s preseason finale against the Bears, Nate Taylor of The Athletic reports.<\/p>\n

In a departure from Reid\u2019s usual philosophy of resting starters in preseason finales, the first-team offense is expected to see the field Friday, though Mahomes probably won\u2019t play more than a few series in this dress rehearsal.<\/p>\n

Mahomes played only three snaps in Kansas City\u2019s first exhibition and sat out the second entirely. The star quarterback\u2019s set to begin regular-season play Friday, Sept. 5 against the Chargers in Sao Paulo, Brazil.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
