The Chicago Bulls aren\u2019t known for making big, splashy moves, and fans have grown used to that.<\/p>\n

But could that change in the months ahead, and could they actually be aggressive for once?<\/p>\n

Could it lead to them losing one of their biggest names?<\/p>\n

Writing for Bleacher Report, Grant Hughes highlighted multiple NBA stars who will get attention at the next trade deadline and listed Coby White, currently of the Bulls.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe only argument against the Chicago Bulls shopping Coby White at the deadline is that this franchise almost never does the shrewd, difficult thing. Every other factor points to the 25-year-old guard changing teams. Acquiring teams will offer less now than they would have when White had more years of team control on his deal. But Chicago faces the possibility of losing him for nothing next summer, and it should therefore look to move him to the highest bidder by February,\u201d Hughes\u00a0wrote.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

White is set to make $12.9 million in 2025-26, the final year of his contract.<\/p>\n

The team can give him a new extension after that, but it\u2019s not clear if they will.<\/p>\n

And it\u2019s not clear if White will take it, because he likely believes he deserves more than the $89 million over four years that will come his way from Chicago.<\/p>\n

The team would then be forced to put up a lot of cash, and could still see him walk.<\/p>\n

So, the Bulls are running the risk of losing White for next to nothing, and they may be wise to just cut ties with him before that happens.<\/p>\n

If the trade deadline rolls around and the Bulls are able to put together a good and enticing package for him, they will take it and let him move to a new team.<\/p>\n

He might not be the hottest target on the market, but he would be one of them.<\/p>\n
