Scottie Scheffler\u00a0claimed his 18th PGA Tour victory on Sunday, taking down Robert MacIntyre by two strokes in the final round of the BMW Championship.<\/p>\n

Scheffler entered Sunday\u2019s round trailing MacIntyre by four strokes, but a 3-under 67 was enough to propel him into No. 1 position in the penultimate event of the FedExCup Playoffs.<\/p>\n

Scheffler held a one-stroke lead over MacIntyre heading into the par-3 17th hole at Caves Valley Golf Club. After a wayward tee shot into the left rough, the World No. 1 golfer found himself with a difficult downhill chip heading toward the water.<\/p>\n

Scheffler holed out for birdie from more than 80 feet out, giving him a two-shot lead heading into the 18th.<\/p>\n

This incredible shot sparked reactions from prominent figures around the sporting world, including\u00a0Kansas City Chiefs\u00a0quarterback\u00a0Patrick Mahomes.<\/p>\n

\u201cScottie is crazy man,\u201d Mahomes wrote on X.<\/p>\n

Scheffler is the No. 1 player in the FedExCup standings and the clear favorite to notch his second consecutive FedExCup title at next week\u2019s Tour Championship.
