Reid had already hinted that he played a part in setting up the two, and Swift now appears to have confirmed his involvement.<\/p>\n<h2>Travis Kelce Calls Andy Reid \u2018Cupid\u2019<\/h2>\n<p>Appearing together on the Kelce brothers\u2019\u00a0\u201cNew Heights\u201d podcast\u00a0this week, both Swift and Kelce addressed the rumors that Reid helped set them up. Swift revealed that when she had some growing interest in Kelce \u2014 but before the pair officially started dating \u2014 several people vouched for the NFL star.<\/p>\n<p>One of them was Reid, who had an existing friendship with Swift\u2019s father.<\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cThere were a lot of kind of people whispering in my ear about you,\u201d Swift said. \u201cAnd like, actually, that\u2019s not normal. There are people willing to just go to bat for you, and be like, \u2018You don\u2019t understand. This guy is incredible.\u2019 \u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Kelce shared a new nickname for his wingman coach for his role in setting up the famous relationship.<\/p>\n<p class=\"gnt_ar_b_p\"><em>\u201c\u2018Cupid,\u2019 \u2018Big Red.\u2019 It\u2019s all the same,\u201d Kelce said.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>Swift shared her appreciation for Reid as well.<\/em><\/p>\n<p class=\"gnt_ar_b_p\"><em>\u201cThank you Andy, for everything,\u201d Swift added.<\/em><\/p>\n<h2>Andy Reid Shared Love for the Famous Couple<\/h2>\n<p>Reid had recently shared some love for the couple, saying in an appearance on\u00a096.5 The Fan\u00a0with Fescoe and Dusty\u00a0that he had some fodder for a potential wedding speech if the pair decided to tie the knot.<\/p>\n<p id=\"mntl-sc-block_6-0\" class=\"comp mntl-sc-block mntl-sc-block-html\">\u201cWell, there are a few [stories] I can\u2019t tell,\u201d Reid joked.<\/p>\n<p id=\"mntl-sc-block_8-0\" class=\"comp mntl-sc-block mntl-sc-block-html\">But the Chiefs coach admitted that there are a lot of great things he can say about the All-Pro tight end.<\/p>\n<p id=\"mntl-sc-block_10-0\" class=\"comp mntl-sc-block mntl-sc-block-html\"><em>\u201cNo, there are a lot of great stories,\u201d Reid said. \u201cHe\u2019s done so many good things, all the things he\u2019s done off the field that people don\u2019t know about, just helping people out. He\u2019s got a big heart that way and I appreciate that the most.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Reid also gave credit to Swift for helping boost women\u2019s interest in the sport of football, which coincided with a push from the NFL to encourage and develop flag football for girls at the high school level.<\/p>\n<p id=\"mntl-sc-block_32-0\" class=\"comp mntl-sc-block mntl-sc-block-html\"><em>\u201cI think it\u2019s great. Obviously, women and girls are looking at the game a little bit more,\u201d he said. \u201cLook at flag football, we\u2019re talking about Olympic sports, college sports\u2026 Girls are having the opportunity to play the game. They\u2019re loving it.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<p id=\"mntl-sc-block_34-0\" class=\"comp mntl-sc-block mntl-sc-block-html\"><em>\u201cNot that it was all tied into [Swift], but she had a big part of that,\u201d Reid added. \u201cAnd the NFL has bought into that, too, they\u2019ve been supporting that. I think it\u2019s a beautiful thing all around.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Reid also gave his blessing to the relationship, praising both Kelce and Swift for how they can manage the worldwide attention they have received.<\/p>\n<p id=\"mntl-sc-block_40-0\" class=\"comp mntl-sc-block mntl-sc-block-html\"><em>\u201cLike I said, the thing that I appreciate most is how [Swift] handles it and how Trav handles it.
