Steph Curry didn\u2019t win the first NBA Finals MVP of his career until 2022.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Golden State Warriors made a major change in 2015 as they replaced Mark Jackson with Steve Kerr to take over head coaching duties.<\/p>\n

Kerr\u2019s introduction produced instant results for the Dubs. They outclassed LeBron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers in the 2015 NBA Finals.<\/p>\n

It was the start of the Warriors dynasty led by Steph Curry.<\/p>\n

Steph Curry dominated in his first NBA Finals<\/h2>\n

At the time, LeBron James was still the best player in the eyes of many fans. However, Curry was on a mission to dethrone the King.<\/p>\n

He first won the 2015 NBA MVP after averaging 23.8 points, 4.3 rebounds, and 7.7 assists per game in the regular season.<\/p>\n

The Baby-Faced Assassin took things up a notch in the postseason and helped the Dubs win their first NBA title since 1975.<\/p>\n

Curry averaged 26.0 points, 5.2 rebounds, and 6.3 assists per game in the NBA Finals while shooting 44.3% from the field and 38.5% from the three-point line.<\/p>\n

Despite these numbers, Curry\u2019s teammate Andre Iguodala ended up winning the NBA Finals MVP over him, primarily due to defending James throughout the six-game series.<\/p>\n

Defending a player of James\u2019 caliber is never easy, especially when the stakes are high. For years, many have used this argument to justify Iguodala winning the honor over Steph in 2015.<\/p>\n

However, LBJ still averaged 35.8 points, 13.3 rebounds, and 8.8 assists vs. the Warriors. With that said, Iggy didn\u2019t really slow down the King.<\/p>\n

It seems like the former Warriors forward was aware of the questionable decision and to this date, doesn\u2019t believe he deserved to be named the 2015 NBA Finals MVP over Chef Curry.<\/p>\n

\u201cI don\u2019t know why they gave it to me. They were supposed to give it to Steph,\u201d Iguodala revealed on Kai Cenat\u2019s stream via X.<\/p>\n
