Since taking over as the\u00a0Kansas City Chiefs\u2019 starter in 2018,\u00a0quarterback\u00a0Patrick Mahomes\u00a0has established himself as one of the\u00a0NFL\u2019s best players.<\/p>\n

In seven years, he\u2019s led the Chiefs to an 89-23 record, making five\u00a0Super Bowl\u00a0appearances, winning three and finishing first place in the AFC West every season.<\/p>\n

However, at 29 years old, Mahomes may just be getting started with Kansas City, and entering 2025, he\u2019s looking to build even higher.<\/p>\n

Mahomes Reveals Chiefs Roster Could Hit New Heights<\/h2>\n

During a Monday appearance on \u201cThe Up & Adams Show,\u201d the quarterback revealed that the Chiefs could be putting together their most complete team yet.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe have the talent to be the best team we\u2019ve had,\u201d Mahomes said. \u201cYou\u2019ve got to go out there and prove it, and until we prove it, I\u2019m not going to say we\u2019re the best, but if we go out there and win that Super Bowl, then we can say we\u2019re the best one.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n

Coming off their third straight Super Bowl appearance, Mahomes claiming the team may not have yet peaked is a scary thought for anybody else looking to hoist the Lombardi Trophy at the end of the season.<\/p>\n

Mahomes Talks First Preseason Game<\/h2>\n

The Chiefs had their preseason opener against the\u00a0Arizona Cardinals\u00a0on Saturday, losing 17-10. Mahomes\u2019 time on the field was very short, completing just one pass that went for one yard and a touchdown.<\/p>\n

While talking to Adams, he revealed that he wanted a bit more playing time,\u00a0saying, \u201cIt was definitely a little bit of a bummer. You know, you want to get out there and get a couple of snaps in. I always say you want to kind of get hit just to kind of feel that\u2026 not hit hard, but just enough that you feel that you\u2019re not wearing that yellow jersey anymore.\u201d<\/p>\n
