Patrick Mahomes<\/a>\u00a0appeared in just two plays for the\u00a0Kansas City Chiefs<\/a>\u00a0in their preseason opener against the\u00a0Arizona Cardinals<\/a>, but he certainly made the most of it.<\/p>\n

Mahomes scored a touchdown before he was officially replaced by backup\u00a0quarterback<\/a>\u00a0Gardner Minshew during Saturday\u2019s contest. The Chiefs star connected with Jason Brownlee for a one-yard pass that put Kansas City on the board.<\/p>\n

While it was a simple play, the way Mahomes executed the pass had fans in awe. He pulled off what the\u00a0NFL<\/a>\u00a0called a \u201cbeautiful back shoulder TD.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cMahomes makes it look too easy!\u201d a\u00a0commenter said<\/a>\u00a0of the pass. Another\u00a0one remarked<\/a>, \u201cPeople saying it was a terrible throw, it was literally placed in a place where nobody but the receiver could catch. It was such a safe throw.\u201d<\/p>\n

An alternate angle of the throw has since surfaced, better showing how Mahomes seemed to purposely send the ball a bit farther from Brownlee in order to avoid the defense on him.<\/p>\n

Sure enough, the wideout did a great job of catching the ball.<\/p>\n
