Andy Reid\u00a0has a love story in mind.<\/p>\n
During his appearance on sports radio\u2019s\u00a096.5 The Fan\u00a0<\/em>with Fescoe and Dusty\u00a0on Thursday, Aug. 7, the Kansas City Chiefs head coach was asked about the \u201cone\u00a0Travis Kelce\u00a0story\u201d he\u2019d tell at the tight ends\u2019 potential future wedding with his girlfriend\u00a0Taylor Swift.<\/p>\n \u201cWell there are a few I can\u2019t tell,\u201d Reid responded.<\/p>\n The hosts, naturally, playfully pried the coach an answer, to which he ultimately opened up about his star player.<\/p>\n \u201cNo, there are a lot of great stories,\u201d the Chiefs\u2019 head said of the 35-year-old Kelce. \u201cHe\u2019s done so many good things, all the things he\u2019s done off the field that people don\u2019t know about, just helping people out. He\u2019s got a big heart that way and I appreciate that the most.\u201d<\/p>\n Elsewhere in the interview, the radio hosts asked Reid if he has a favorite song by Swift, 35. His answer, ironically, aligned with the spirit of the Kansas City Chiefs.<\/p>\n \u201cYou know what, I do have the\u00a0Red<\/em>\u00a0album,\u201d he revealed.<\/p>\n Then, Reid \u2014 who was previously the Philadelphia Eagles head coach \u2014 broke down the timeline of events on how he met the Grammy winner, clarifying that\u00a0he knew her before Kelce did.<\/p>\n \u201cNow listen, I knew her before he knew her,\u201d he said on the show. \u201cMy family has been a big fan of hers, and we know her father and mother\u2026 from the Philadelphia area, Pennsylvania.\u201d<\/p>\n Reid noted that her father, Scott Swift, has a love for the sport, a dynamic that bonded them from the start.<\/p>\n \u201cHer dad is a huge football fan, so we hit it off with him,\u201d he shared, adding, \u201cThen she became this famous person, arguably the most famous woman in the world, since probably the Queen passed away.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cShe sure handles it the right way and that\u2019s the part I appreciate the most,\u201d he added of Swift.<\/p>\n As Kelce and Swift head into their third NFL season as a couple, the radio hosts asked Reid his thoughts on\u00a0watching their relationship unfold\u00a0since they first sparked dating rumors in September 2023 after the\u00a0singer attended a handful of the athlete\u2019s games.<\/p>\n \u201cI think it\u2019s great. Obviously, women and girls are looking at the game a little bit more,\u201d he said. \u201cLook at flag football, we\u2019re talking about Olympic sports, college sports\u2026 Girls are having the opportunity to play the game. They\u2019re loving it.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cNot that it was all tied into [Swift], but she had a big part of that,\u201d he continued. \u201cAnd the NFL has bought into that, too, they\u2019ve been supporting that. I think it\u2019s a beautiful thing all around.<\/p>\n Reid then doubled down on the respect he has for the power couple and how they\u2019ve been managing their relationship in the spotlight \u2014 and made clear that their love life hasn\u2019t hindered performance.<\/p>\n \u201cLike I said, the thing that I appreciate most is how [Swift] handles it and how Trav handles it. They just do it the right way,\u201d he said, adding, \u201cAnd they\u2019re not a distraction by any means\u2026 Absolutely not, there\u2019s no distraction because of how they handle it.\u201d<\/p>\n Since the 2025 Super Bowl, the couple has been enjoying time together in the offseason,\u00a0as seen in photos shared by Travis\u00a0on his Instagram last month.
