Former Diamondbacks closer Paul Sewald has entered free agency and is searching for his next team.<\/p>\n
During an appearance on the Foul Territory show on Wednesday, he shared insights into what he\u2019s seeking in his next opportunity.<\/p>\n
However, it sounds like he has his mind made up and wants to pitch for a specific team in 2025.<\/p>\n
During a recent appearance on the\u00a0\u201cFoul Territory\u201d show, Sewald said he is focused on finding the best situation for him and mentioned the Los Angeles Dodgers as a potential fit even if means not having a set closer role.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe most important thing that I want is to go to a situation where I\u2019m going to be comfortable and I can pitch my best,\u201d Sewald said. \u201cNow, if that\u2019s in the eighth inning in L.A., then that\u2019s the eighth inning in L.A. If it\u2019s the ninth inning somewhere else, then that\u2019s where I\u2019m going to take it. I think for me, most importantly, I\u2019ve shown that I can be a closer.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n
