Even if Dillon Brooks is no longer around, Draymond Green still hates the Memphis Grizzlies.<\/p>\n

The Golden State Warriors star Green was involved in a controversial play during Friday\u2019s win over Memphis. In the third quarter, Green turned the ball over on a drive to the basket, and in an attempt to halt the ensuing fast break opportunity, hooked the leg of Grizzlies seven-footer Zach Edey. As a result, Edey crashed hard to the floor (video here).<\/p>\n

After the game, Grizzlies head coach Taylor Jenkins made no secret of his disgust over the play, saying that \u201cthere\u2019s a code in this league\u201d that Green had violated.<\/p>\n

Green then fired back at Jenkins in a post to his Instagram Story over the weekend. \u201cBOOOOOO!!!\u201d Green wrote, along with a screenshot of Jenkins\u2019 comments. \u201c(I was trying to find a marshmallow emoji).\u201d<\/p>\n

It appears that Green was trying to label Jenkins as \u201csoft\u201d with the above marshmallow comment.<\/p>\n

Green also left a comment on the original Instagram post, about Jenkins\u2019 remarks, writing, \u201cShut up!\u201d<\/p>\n

For what it\u2019s worth, the NBA agreed with Jenkins. A day after the incident, they upgraded Green\u2019s foul on Edey to a flagrant foul (it had initially been called as a transition take foul, which is a kind of common foul).<\/p>\n

But there is some definite history here between the Warriors and Grizzlies that should be noted. The two teams have had a rivalry over the last few seasons, even meeting in the 2022 NBA playoffs. In that series, Warriors head coach Steve Kerr was irate over a flagrant foul committed by Memphis, saying that it had broken \u201cthe code\u201d of the NBA.
