Appearing Thursday on Bravo\u2019s \u201cWatch What Happens Live,\u201d Denise Welch was asked for her thoughts on\u00a0\u201cThe Tortured Poets Department,\u201d\u00a0Swift\u2019s blockbuster 2024 album that contains numerous songs believed\u00a0to have been inspired\u00a0by Healy.<\/p>\n

\u201cObviously, on pain of death can I talk about that episode, but not being her mother-in-law is a role that I am glad that I lost,\u201d the British actor and \u201cLoose Women\u201d panelist told host Andy Cohen.<\/p>\n
After her comment drew audible gasps from the audience, Welch clarified that she doesn\u2019t \u201chave anything against\u201d Swift, adding:\u00a0\u201cIt was just, you know … it was tricky.\u201d<\/p>\n
Still, she couldn\u2019t resist another dig.<\/p>\n
