Deep-threat receiver Xavier Worthy shared how Kansas City Chiefs head coach Andy Reid is getting his players prepared for a crucial part of the offense this season.<\/div>\n

The\u00a0Kansas City Chiefs<\/a>\u00a0and superstar\u00a0Patrick Mahomes<\/a>\u00a0have missed a true deep-threat wide receiver since the departure of speedster\u00a0Tyreek Hill<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Despite drafting another lightning fast wideout in Xavier Worthy, the young pass-catcher was in a pressure-packed situation with two valuable teammates sidelined with injury. Worthy had an excellent end to his rookie year, but he expects to see more production from the receiving corps collectively in 2025 with everyone healthy.<\/p>\n

Training camp is just around the corner and Worthy spoke with Kay Adams about the mindset Chiefs head coach Andy Reid is instilling in his team, one that could preview an offense focus this season.<\/p>\n

“Coach Reid told us during OTAs and phase one that, when you come back, get your hamstrings ready,” Worthy recalled after Adams posed a question about implementing deep passes to the offense more and more.<\/p>\n

“We kind of knew that we were going to be going a little deep in practice, so we kind of got our bodies and got our minds ready to what we were doing in practice.”<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Worthy will be joined by Hollywood Brown, who missed the entire season last year with a broken collarbone, and Rashee Rice, as he recovers from a season-ending Week 4 knee injury. Mahomes will also rely on his tight ends, as he typically has, with future Hall of Famer\u00a0Travis Kelce<\/a>\u00a0and Noah Gray as security blankets.<\/p>\n
