The pop star and NFL star have grown a following unlike many other couples.<\/p>\n

Now, the two have a huge announcement to make.<\/p>\n

Travis Kelce putting a ring on Taylor Swift isn\u2019t a question of if,\u00a0but when:<\/p>\n

Many thought that Travis, 35, was going to propose after Taylor, 35, flew all the way from Japan to watch him and the Chiefs win Super Bowl LVIII in 2024. Didn\u2019t happen. After the Chiefs came up short the following year and were denied the three-peat, Kelce still could have walked away with a \u201cring\u201d and a huge W. No go.<\/em><\/p>\n

Kelce and Swift have been dating for two years now, and while reports say that an engagement is coming, there hasn\u2019t been any clear indication of when\u2026until now.<\/em><\/p>\n

Kelce is \u201clikely going to pop the question, but it is going to be when he isn\u2019t playing anymore,\u201d a source\u00a0told the Daily Mail. The source also dashed any hopes for a midsummer proposal, telling the Daily Mail that Kelce wants to propose when he\u2019s \u201cnot getting ready for a big NFL season.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n

So, the bad news is that, according to this insider, Kelce isn\u2019t going to propose until he\u2019s done with football. The possible good news is that it might be coming sooner than fans think.<\/em><\/p>\n

Kelce is gearing up for his thirteenth year in the NFL (and we all know Taylor\u2019s favorite number is 13).<\/em><\/p>\n

If that coincidence wasn\u2019t enough to justify him hanging up his helmet at the end of the season, the likelihood of him playing beyond 2026 is slimming.<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Kelce turns 36 in October, and while Tom Brady played well into his 40s, normal NFL players usually wash out in their mid-30s. Kelce has defied the odds so far, but time is the one opponent that\u2019s always undefeated.<\/em><\/p>\n

So, that leaves a question: when is Kelce done? It might be after this season.<\/em><\/p>\n

Ahead of the 2024 season, Travis signed a two-year, $34.5 million extension with the Chiefs. He\u2019ll enter the 2026 offseason as an unrestricted free agent. While there is always a chance he signs another one or two-year deal with the Chiefs or with another team, you have to think that there are bigger and better things waiting for him off the field.<\/em><\/p>\n

Kelce has a successful podcast with his brother, the now-retired Jason Kelce. Additionally, Travis has already branched out into non-sports endeavors, such as acting in Grotesque and the upcoming \u201cHappy Gilmore 2\u201d.<\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

\u201cI love football,\u201d Kelce told reporters in June,\u00a0per CBS Sports. \u201cI don\u2019t think I really thought about it that much. My friends and family and the team and the guys and women in this building, I love coming into work every single day.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n

The Chiefs\u2019 loss to the Philadelphia Eagles in Super Bowl LIV left a bad taste in his mouth, and he didn\u2019t want his career to end like that.<\/em><\/p>\n

\u201cI really didn\u2019t feel like it was my last game. Just felt like I\u2019ve got a lot more to prove,\u201d he said. \u201cIt wasn\u2019t a very tough [decision] for me. I know I\u2019m getting older, but at the same time, I still feel like I got a lot that I can prove in this league. It really wasn\u2019t that hard of a decision for me.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n

\u00a0\u201cI still felt like I had that fire in my chest to be able to keep coming in and building and be better and chase another Super Bowl,\u201d he concluded.<\/em><\/p>\n

So, Taylor may not get a ring until next year. At least she\u2019ll enjoy this season of football. Now that she no longer has to worry about \u2018The Eras Tour,\u2019 she\u2019s reportedly \u201cgenuinely excited\u201d to have an open schedule and show up to as many of Travis\u2019s games as possible.<\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n
