<\/p>\nLiverpool footballer Diogo Jota died in a road accident in the north-west of Spain in the early hours of Thursday morning, leaving the world of football in shock. The Lamborghini on which he traveled with his brother Andr\u00e9, who also died in the accident, left the road and caught fire.<\/p>\n
A car tire broke out during an overtaking on the A-52, about 112 kilometers west of Valladolid, making her leave the road. The accident occurred around 00:40.<\/p>\n
The firefighters turned off the fire, which extended to the surrounding vegetation, collaborating with the emergency services and the Civil Guard. The medical staff confirmed the death of the two occupants of the vehicle shortly after the arrival on the spot.<\/p>\n
A spokesman for the Civil Guard of Zamora said: \u201cThe investigation on the accident is underway by the agents of the Civil Guard. We believe that the car broke out due to the tracks on the road. The complete report of the police, once completed, will be presented to the Court of Turno di Zamora, which has started an ongoing judicial investigation on the accident.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt will take time to complete that relationship, probably four or five days, but perhaps more. At the moment it is impossible to establish exactly at what speed the car is going, but it is a detail that the investigators of the Civil Guard will be able to provide, at least approximately, in their final relationship, based on elements such as the braking signs. What I can confirm is that no other vehicle has been involved and no one else was injured.\u201d<\/p>\n
Jota, 28, had just married Rute Cardoso, mother of her three children, and called himself \u201cthe luckiest man in the world\u201d to be his husband.<\/p>\n
The tributes were numerous after the news of the tragedy. Liverpool legend Jamie Carragher wrote on social media: \u201cI am deeply devastated by the sad news of Diogo Jota. My thoughts are with his wife Rute and their three children\u201d.<\/p>\n

The Manchester United icon Rio Ferdinand wrote: \u201cIt is really heartbreaking. My thoughts and prayers go to Diogo Jota, Andr\u00e9 Silva, to their family and their friends!\u201d<\/p>\n
Ruben Neves, who played with Jota in the Wolves and in the Portuguese national team, said: \u201cThey say that we lose people only when we forget them. I will never forget!\u201d<\/p>\n
Liverpool also released a moving declaration: \u201cThe Liverpool Football Club is devastated by the tragic disappearance of Diogo Jota. The club was informed that the 28 -year -old died following a road accident in Spain, together with his brother Andr\u00e9.<\/p>\n
Liverpool FC will not release further comments at the moment and asks that the privacy of the family, friends, teammates and Diogo\u2019s and Andr\u00e9 staff be respected while trying to accept an unimaginable loss. We will continue to provide them with our full support.<\/p>\n

Diogo Jota was an extraordinary person, respected by all colleagues and opponents, a person with a contagious joy and a point of reference in his community. The Portuguese Football Federation expresses its most heartfelt condolences to the family and friends of Diogo and Andr\u00e9 Silva, as well as Liverpool FC and the FC Penafiel, the clubs in which the players have played.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe have lost two champions. The disappearance of Diogo and Andr\u00e9 Silva represents an irreparable loss for Portuguese football and we will do everything to honor their legacy every day.\u201d<\/p>\n

Jota has collected 182 appearances with Liverpool, scoring 65 goals. He won the Premier League with the team last season and won the FA Cup and the League Cup in 2022.<\/p>\n
He arrived at the Reds from Wolves in 2020 with a 45 million pound agreement. He also played with Atletico Madrid, Porto and Pa\u00e7os de Ferreira. Internationally, it has collected 49 appearances with Portugal, scoring 14 goals.<\/p>\n
