As the\u00a0NBA<\/a>\u00a0offseason begins to heat up, the\u00a0Miami Heat<\/a>\u00a0have reportedly explored the possibility of adding both\u00a0Damian Lillard<\/a>\u00a0and Bradley Beal to their roster.<\/p>\n

In a tweet\u00a0shared by NBA Central on X<\/a>, citing a report of NBA insider Marc Stein,\u00a0Stein noted<\/a>, “The Heat, meanwhile, have serious interest in signing Lillard as well as exploring the prospect of adding a bought-out Beal.”<\/p>\n

The news of the Heat’s reported interest in both former All-Stars comes on the heels of the\u00a0Phoenix Suns<\/a>\u00a0discussing a potential contract buyout with Beal, who is owed $110.8 million over the next two years.<\/p>\n

Beal, 32, who averaged 17.0 points, 3.7 assists and 3.3 rebounds in 53 games last season, could complement stars\u00a0Tyler Herro<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0Bam Adebayo<\/a>\u00a0beautifully with his striking ability to space the floor and stretch defenses.<\/p>\n

Lillard, who was shockingly waved by the\u00a0Milwaukee Bucks<\/a>\u00a0earlier this week, is desperate to find a team capable of contending for championships in the little years he has left in the league.<\/p>\n

For a Heat team that just\u00a0acquired Italian sharpshooter Simone Fontecchio<\/a>, adding both Lillard and Beal would instantly make them contenders in the Eastern Conference again.<\/p>\n

Pat Riley, who\u00a0Bill Simmons endorsed<\/a>\u00a0for his recent moves earlier this week, is notorious for making strategic decisions that ultimately bring in premier talent to South Beach.<\/p>\n

After trading\u00a0Jimmy Butler<\/a>\u00a0to the\u00a0Golden State Warriors<\/a>\u00a0in a blockbuster trade earlier this year, the Heat have a massive void to fill in terms of star power.<\/p>\n
