Candice Rubie wanted to get a tiny tree to represent Swift\u2019s 2020 release Folklore<\/em>.<\/p>\n \u201cThat came out during the pandemic and it was just my favorite thing to listen to. I swear I listen to it every day,\u201d she told CTV News.<\/p>\n Rubie can\u2019t wait to see Swift at the Rogers Centre next Thursday.<\/p>\n \u201cIt’s all the songs you’ve loved, as opposed to just the newest album,\u201d she explained. \u201cIt’s like attending 10 different concerts in one night.\u201d<\/p>\n The months leading up to the shows have been busy.<\/p>\n \u201cMaking friendship bracelets with my friends, celebrating and listening to the songs with new meaning,\u201d said Rubie.<\/p>\n Emily Battler, a fan from Guelph, expects the first Toronto show will be memorable.<\/p>\n \u201cI think it’s going to be a pretty huge show given it’s her first show in Canada,\u201d she told CTV News.<\/p>\n Battler will be there with her mom, friend and aunt, who are equally excited for the concert. The group, like many, made matching bracelets for the occasion.<\/p>\n \u201cWe’re going to have some wine, we’re going to have some food, we’re going to go to the concert,\u201d Wendy Battler explained. \u201cWe’re going to be part of the crowd. It\u2019s just such a great vibe.\u201d<\/p>\n The pair said they waited in the ticket queue for a long time to score some really great seats.<\/p>\n It\u2019s just what you do as a lifelong fan.<\/p>\n \u201cShe kind of made songs that went along with every stage of life I was in,\u201d Emily Battler said. \u201cShe’s only really a couple of years older than me, so it’s kind of a relatable journey.\u201d<\/p>\n The Battlers have been to an Eras show before, but this time it feels special because it\u2019s closer to home.<\/p>\n \u201cWe didn’t have the most fabulous seats in L.A. And this time we’re looking straight on, dead centre,\u201d Wendy Battler said. \u201cWe’ll get to see the whole stage and the whole performance.\u201d<\/p>\n GO Transit, also expecting large crowds traveling to and from the city, have adjusted their schedules to accommodate concert-goers.
