Matty Healy is taking a dig at his ex, Taylor Swift.<\/p>\n
The 36-year-old frontman of The 1975 made a comment while on stage during his band\u2019s Glastonbury Festival set that seems to be targeted at Taylor.<\/p>\n
The 35-year-old \u201cAnti-Hero\u201d singer dated Matty and fans believe many of the songs on her most recent album are referencing their relationship.<\/p>\n
Matty can be seen in a clip recorded of his band\u2019s set at Glastonbury Festival talking about his skills as a musician and songwriter.<\/p>\n
\u201cWhat this moment is making me realize is that I probably am the best. I\u2019m probably the best songwriter of my generation. The best, what do we say\u2026 A poet, ladies and gentlemen, is what I am,\u201d Matty is seen telling the crowd during the performance.<\/em><\/p>\n This pointed word choice seems to be referring to a song Taylor wrote about their relationship.<\/p>\n In \u201cThe Tortured Poets Department\u201d from the album by the same name, Taylor sings, \u201cYou left your typewriter at my apartment \/ Straight from the Tortured Poets Department \/ I think some things I never say \/ Like, \u2018Who uses typewriters anyway?\u2019\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n If he chose to refer to himself as a poet on purpose, it wouldn\u2019t be the first time Matty has reference his relationship with Taylor since their breakup.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" Matty Healy is taking a dig at his ex, Taylor Swift.
