He also racked up nine pass deflections and 52 total tackles, both of which were able to help him be named All-American.<\/p>\n<p>Behind Trent McDuffie, the Chiefs did not have a lot of cornerback depth, so drafting a ball-hawk like Williams could be exactly what the team needed. His ability to snag interceptions and defend passes will complement McDuffie&#8217;s ability to tackle at the corner spot very well.<\/p>\n<p>Williams is not currently listed as a starter on the team&#8217;s depth chart, but could earn a lot of opportunities in his first season.<\/p>\n<p>The Chiefs fell short in the\u00a0Super Bowl\u00a0to the\u00a0Philadelphia Eagles\u00a0this past season, so Williams and the rest of the team&#8217;s defense will be looking to help lead the team back to the playoffs to redeem themselves.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Please enable JS and disable any ad blocker<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":2,"featured_media":71465,"comment_status":"closed","ping_status":"closed","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"footnotes":""},"categories":[5],"tags":[],"class_list":["post-71452","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-nfl"],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v23.7 -
